SALVADOR BENAVIDES - Salvador Dali - Salvador recently moved to California
from Colorado where he was a member of the Tony Award-winning Denver Center
Theatre Company. As an Actor & Teacher he led theatre workshops and performed
for audiences throughout the Rocky Mountain region. Since childhood, Mr.
Benavides has been asked after introducing him as "Salvador,"
"Dali?" So it seems it is his destiny to play the famed surrealist
in "The Death of Dali." In fact, he has played Dali on three
other occasions, as well: in his own film about the artist, "Cabeza
de Coliflor," for the inaugural event celebrating the dedication
of the Ricardo Montalban Theatre in Hollywood, California and for the
centennial anniversary celebration of Dalis birth (May 11, 1904) held
at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) and attended by such notable
guests as Spanish Counsel General Jose Luis Dicenta Ballester & Roy Disney,
who presented the Walt Disney-Salvador Dali animated short film "Destino."
